Ready to explore Malta's stunning countryside and coastal trails on foot? The Malta Geographical Society has announced its lineup of guided walks for October 2026. Whether you want to discover hidden bays, rugged ridges, or peaceful family parks, there is a route for every walker.

Here are the upcoming walks scheduled for this month:

• Kortin Area - Selmun Palace - Mgiebah Bay

  • Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026

  • Time: Meet at 14:15, walk starts at 14:30

  • Meeting Point: Triq il-Qortin, Mellieha (in front of Welbee's Supermarket)

  • Details: A rough path taking you toward Selmun Palace, historic farm buildings, and down to Mgiebah Bay. Features two uphills; trekking shoes and walking sticks are a must.
    

• Marfa Ridge

  • Date: Wednesday, October 14, 2026

  • Time: Meet at 14:15, walk starts at 14:30

  • Meeting Point: Car park opposite bus stop RISERVA at Ghadira Bay, Mellieha

  • Details: Heads up the clay slope to the Red Tower for panoramic views of Comino and Gozo, passing Paradise Bay, garigue landscapes, old beehives, and summer chalets along Marfa Ridge.
    

• Kennedy Grove and Qawra Area

  • Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026

  • Time: Meet at 14:15, walk starts at 14:30

  • Meeting Point: Inside The Salina Family Park, near the central water fountain in the green area
    

Details: A mostly easy 2.15-hour walk exploring the park and enjoying a long stretch along the Qawra coastline
